Meet ShaKara
ShaKara Zulu
Wellness Educator
I am a wellness creator residing in Charlotte, NC with a passion for helping others make their dreams reality through inward self-study.
My journey into movement and stage performance began as a toddler in gymnastics. At age 5 I was introduced to dance and Kemetic yoga, igniting a lifelong passion. I began sharing my love for movement at 11 teaching West African dance and yoga by 15.
Since that time I’ve become deeply interested in all of the ways the body and mind connect to create intentional shifts in our lives.
In addition to being a 200-hr certified Yoga Instructor, I am also certified in Trauma Informed Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Coaching for Transformation. I hold a Master’s in Luxury Marketing & Management from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and a Bachelor’s in Marketing from Florida State University (FSU).
I take many of the queues in my work from the latest research in neuroscience, somatics, trauma releasing modalities, metaphysics, and the science of manifestation. I seek to understand how the body shifts the mind.
Aside from my career, I am also mother to a kind, artistic, awe-inspiring tween girl. Mom is my absolute favorite title, and my greatest flex!
I am a stage performer by passion, a jewelry designer by trade, a teacher by calling, and researcher by curiosity. All of the facets of my life play a major role in how I approach my work. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with you!
